What I’m Reading Now: Junk

Yep, it’s junk. Name withheld. I’ ve been racing through it and I started to wonder if I was racing just so I would be reading junk for less time.

Before the junk, I just finished the American Senator, by Anthony Trollope. Quite entertaining as usual. Two points of interest: Trollope uses American senator to rant convincingly about the wrongness of all things British. It works. One gets the feeling that Trollope just wanted to play a game with his British readers. Second: There is a Palliser connection, adding this book to the Barchester/Palliser universe.

Also, I am still listening to — and loving — Bleak House. I’m enjoying the stretching out of my visit this time. It’s been several months already and I’m not much past half way. But I always look forward to my opportunities to plug in and enter Chancery again.
