You want to talk about someone who loves reading and loves to get kids involved in reading?
Here’s Chip Donahue doing an OUTDOOR reading of Where the Wild Things Are to about 60 folks on a CHILLY Feb. day. Thank goodness I gave him the Big Horn Wild Thing Hat or he might have caught a cold.
Chip is the founder of KIVA — Kids in the Valley Adventuring — a group that is all about getting kids (and their parents) outdoors. Read all about it here.
He claims to have partly inspired by The Qwikpick Adventure Society, which is indeed about kids in a valley adventuring. (But it’s a different valley.)
