Patrick McGoohan is being remembered today as the star of The Prisoner, arguably the greatest achievement in the history of television.
And, of course, some of us think of him also as Danger Man/The Secret Agent and as a fantastic guest murderer on Columbo. (Yes, he was a repeat offender.)*
But he has two semi-Kidlit credits, too.
First and foremost is the kid’s book episode of The Prisoner. In which, instead of trying to escape he reads a story.
And, most strangely, the jacked up movie (which is based on a book which I assume is also jacked up) The Three Lives of Thomasina. Was the book a kid’s book? I’m not sure.
*An odd coincidence that another Columbo villian, Ricardo Montalban, died today, too.
