Off the bubble … and it’s bad news

Well, the bubble popped. I just heard from my editor, by way of my agent, that the MS that is very near and dear to me is a no-go.

So far I’m taking it well, but that may because it’s 3 a.m. and I only got out of bed to send an important email.

But at least I’m mostly off the bubble for the moment.

Now I should get back to bed. I’m addressing the Potpourri Club in about 8 hours.

  1. Dang. Hope you can submit it elsewhere?
Meanwhile, in the words of the great Hannah Montana:
We can do anything __ if we try ___ all we gotta do is say to ourselves ___ that ____
We can, we can do anything if we just believe and know that nothing’s stopping us ___ just believe and know that __ , we can, we can do anything when out hearts are set and out minds are ready to go ___ we can ___ do anything when we try.

(I was originally gonna quote Chumbawamba – I Get Knocked Down — but I thought Hannah Montana would give you more hits…)

  2. Shoot. C’s late-night emails can really suck the sleep right out of ya. Keep on keepin on, Sam. I’m rooting for you.

  3. guh. These punches in the gut are always sucky. Every supportive thing I can think of just sounds lame, but know you’ve got plenty of people out in the world who’ll read anything you write. And you can count me among them.
