Snapficiton challenge is up….

Don’t forget about this week’s Snapfiction writing challenge…

“Write a piece about an old man sitting on the edge of a dried up waterway. He is dressed as if it was winter. He holds a strange-looking sphere in his hand.

Like I always say, you can’t beat this for a fun, instant feedback writing exercise….

I’m working on mine right now. Join in…

  1. There’s a typo in your link to snapfiction. Interesting concept. I liked the imagery you used in your piece for the prompt.

  2. Sorry for the typo. I ALWAYS type Fiction as ficiton.
    Anyway the page is
    http://www.snapfiction.com

And the imagery isn’t mine, that’s by the mysterious “Illiad” who makes challenges but never seems to do any of the writing him/herself.

  3. I saw Illiad did the prompt, but that wasn’t what I meant. =) Those were nice and evocative too.

I mean how the old man saw himself and those around him…

“a cruel wind blew sleet into the pitted face of a towering warrior, clad in the fur of a massive H’revek Seal.”

“But some force has always stopped him. Pulled him from the river, taken back the orb.”

Those two are yours, yes? Good job!
