This week The Week has an abridged version of a TIME article about a book written by Lisa Genova.
I’m NOT complaining about Lisa Genova who self-published and now has a hit book on her hands.
However, this is what the article says:
Every agent and editor she’d contacted had told her….
STOP RIGHT THERE!
This suggests that every agent and editor she’d contacted:
a) was aware of her submission
b) looked at her submission
c) replied to her submission
d) had the same opinion of her submission
It could have happened, but really, truly has anyone ever had an experience like that?
I’m surprised that the article doesn’t say she was rejected 26 times…
